OSHA COMPLIANCE STATEMENT
At Austin Block + Hardscape, the health and safety of our employees are paramount. HAZARD COMMUNICATION
Austin Block + Hardscape maintains a comprehensive Hazard Communication Program in accordance with OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200). This program ensures that all employees are informed about the hazardous chemicals they may encounter in the workplace, including those used in the production process, and are trained on proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
MACHINE GUARDING
Austin Block + Hardscape adheres to OSHA's Machine Guarding Standards (29 CFR 1910.212) to safeguard our employees from the hazards of moving machinery and equipment. All machinery and equipment are adequately guarded, and employees receive training on safe work practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and the importance of using machine guards.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
We provide and require appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and hearing protection, per OSHA standards and industry best practices. Regular inspections and training are conducted to ensure proper PPE selection, use, and maintenance.
FALL PROTECTION
For tasks performed at elevated heights, such as equipment maintenance or working on elevated platforms, Austin Block + Hardscape complies with OSHA's Fall Protection Standards (29 CFR 1926.501). This includes the use of guardrails, safety nets, personal fall arrest systems, and training on fall hazards and prevention measures.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
We adhere to OSHA's Electrical Safety Standards (29 CFR 1910 Subpart S) to protect employees from electrical hazards in the workplace. This includes proper electrical system maintenance, use of appropriate electrical equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, and training on electrical safety practices.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Austin Block + Hardscape has established comprehensive emergency preparedness and response procedures to address potential workplace emergencies, such as fires, chemical spills, or medical emergencies. Employees are trained on emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
RECORDKEEPING & REPORTING
We maintain accurate records of workplace injuries and illnesses as required by OSHA's Recordkeeping and Reporting Standards (29 CFR 1904). This includes recording and reporting all work-related injuries and illnesses, conducting incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
ONGOING TRAINING & EDUCATION
Continuous training and education are integral to our Austin Block + Hardscape safety program. We provide regular safety training sessions for all employees, covering hazard recognition, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and OSHA regulatory updates.
